Anyone that truly knows anything about me, know that… my 1st loves are my daughter, cooking and Los Angeles California! The most common question is, why L.A.? And my answer is why not L.A.? L.A. is a great place to be a Chef and a foodie. The in-state produce that is easily available will make any genuine foodie or Chef flip. I have many other reasons why I am choosing L.A. One I have a great support system of family in the area. Another reason is the weather is, ummmmm AMAZING! Also, I am a HUGE fan of the culinary openness and creativity within California itself. The inspiration alone will help me grow as a Chef. Personally, I feel that in order to be a “great” chef, you need to move about through different kitchens to gain TRUE culinary experience.

Now what many of you may not know… is that I trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago, I have worked at and been a Chef (Sous Chef, Executive Chef) at many of the great Chicago restaurants before coming on board with Chef Julius & the Tale of Two Chefs team.  Since joining the team I have been able to travel the country and really see what other Chefs, in other regions, are doing. This is something a restaurant Chef would barely have time to do. With that being said, what are the possibilities, for a young Chef like me, to be able to live in another region of the country, learn the local cultures, new ideas and gain a sense of rebirth? The possibilities are endless.

If I were ever asked…My ideal night would be a calm evening next to the Pacific Ocean, a small gathering of people at a beach front house, a grill, a few palm trees, some sand and a sunset. That’s it! I would be in heaven, so Los Angeles California, here I come!
